Special Needs Parenting Is Different Dream Living
Welcome to the Different Dream website where we are unveiling two new initiatives today.
Different Dream Living Logo
The first is the new Different Dream Living logo pictured above. The logo is the first step toward creating products specifically tailored for parents of kids with special needs and other caregivers. More on those at a later date.
Rising Above Ministry Video Series
The second initiative being unveiled is the launch of new video chat series hosted by Rising Above Ministries (RAM). The chats are the brainchild of my good friends and the founders of RAM, Jeff and Becky Davidson. They are the parents of a son, John Alex, who significant special needs. They are also passionate about finding new ways to encourage parents raising kids with special needs. Earlier this month, RAM began posting monthly video chats by several special needs bloggers and advocates–Ellen Stumbo, Craig Johnson, Barb Dittrich, Matt Mooney, Joe Butler, and myself–as well as by Jeff and Becky.
PTSD and Different Dream Living
The first of my monthly videos about PTSD in kids went live at RAM today. In it, I share how God changed my dreams of parenthood after the birth of our first child and eventually turned me into an advocate about childhood PTSD. You can watch the video here.
