10 More Great Special Needs Parenting Blogs
Thanks to your recommendations about fantastic websites after reading Different Dream’s list of 10 great special needs parenting blogs, today’s post features some more great special needs parenting blogs. So take a look at other blogs Different Dream readers love listed in no particular order and see what you think:
- Lovin’ Adopting features topics of interest to adoptive parents, many of whom are raising kids with special needs. The website is hosted by adoptive mom Tracy Dee Whitt.
- The Sweet and the Salty (don’t you love that name?) is written by Jody, mom to a son with special needs and DYI expert. She writes frankly about parenting and other life issues like breaking bad habits.
- Friendship Circle’s blog offers exceptional content day in and day out, content written by a host of guest bloggers. Many of them are parents of kids with special needs or professionals who work with kids.
- My friend Kerith Stull recommended Smart Apps for Kids, a blog she’s been into lately. The blog reviews apps for kids, not all of them special needs-focused, and many of them are F-R-E-E!
- Speaking of Kerith Stull, her website Brielle and Me is one of my favorites. She’s mom to a teenage daughter with special needs and also an author. She also hosts online book discussions of her book. Her wisdom and perspective can really make a difference for young parents.
- If your child has a school IEP or 504 plan, you need to check out A Day in Our Shoes. Lisa, the site’s proprietor, also blogs about advocacy, special needs travel, and fun stuff, too.
- Though WonderBaby.org exists to serve parents of children with visual impairment, many of their posts can be adapted for other special needs circumstances. This site is rich in resources and encouragement.
- Ministry Moments is the blog arm of Snappin’ Ministries. Guest bloggers offer spiritual encouragement on a daily basis.
- Kelli McIntosh writes about raising a son with special needs in her blog. She writes from a positive, creative perspective that will make you feel better every time you stop by.
